Our Mission

Gathering with God's People

Living Hope Church of Belmont is a church plant of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Our church began with small core group meetings in the home of Pastor Mark Forbes and his wife Betsy in the winter of 2022. We received mission status from the First Presbytery of ARPC in May 2022 and started weekly worship services in September 2022. We are excited for the opportunity God has given us to be a part of gathering His Kingdom in southeast Gaston County.

Growing in God's Word

Living Hope Church of Belmont is firmly committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ through the faithful teaching and preaching of God’s Word, the sacraments, and prayer. Apart from our weekly worship service, we offer men’s and women’s Bible Studies, a mentorship program, small groups, weekly Dawn Prayer Meetings and Worship Care for preschoolers 5 and under. In addition we have special events planned such as quarterly men’s breakfasts fellowships, women’s retreat, mission conference, and a marriage retreat.

Going on God's Mission

With Christ as the head of the church, gospel proclamation is the heart of Living Hope Church. To that end, we are firmly committed to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Living Hope Church is actively supporting local and foreign missions such as Today’s Daily Bread, Stable Resources, Crisis Pregnancy Center, Young Life, Links Player of the Carolinas, World Witness, Africa Inland Missions, Life Together and others. For the second year in a row we will have a Serve The City day as part of our vision to be a blessing to the community where God has placed us. We also encourage annual participation in Faith Promise Giving. These are annual commitments apart from tithes and offering to our mission and outreach budget.
